LIBERAL ARTS EDUCATION

U. S. liberal arts education:
The US education system is based on the idea of a liberal arts education, creating a wide, general knowledge base for future study. Students progress through high school with options remaining open as opposed to becoming "locked-in" to a very specific, oftentimes unchangeable track or stream as prevalent in other systems.

Streaming students at a young age has many limitations that cause conflict later in life, forcing many students to effectively "start over" in order to achieve the goals and ambitions that surface through adolescent developmental processes and exposure to options during such a critical stage in life. In some cases, students become so frustrated and overwhelmed that they eventually drop out altogether. A liberal arts education is a positive alternative to consider for the students entrusted to you.
