11 Maret 16:31:24 Formal School under the Ministry of Religious Affairs |
Held on March 10, 2015, the CEDAR meeting covered the opportunities for private schools to maintain Christian identity while at the same time have a formal status. Based on PP 55/2007 and Permenag 7/2012 of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag), Christian educators are welcome to apply for the government permit to establish Bible-centered schools. The schools under Kemenag are to offer both the religion-based and the general curricula.
CEDAR, as licensee of LIFEPAC for Indonesian market, provides both sets of curriculum as follow:
Bible and History Geography are repackaged to suit the specific needs of the Christian identity subjects: Christian Doctrines (Dogmatika), Bible Surveys (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alkitab), Church History (Sejarah Gereja) and Christian Ethics (Etika Kristen).
Language Arts, Math and Science may be used to support the general subjects required by the national education standard. These three subjects, when presented in English, are the advantage point for schools. |
